Women's History Month

Since 1988, every U.S. President has issued a Presidential Proclamation declaring March to be Women's History Month.  The theme for 2024 is  "Women Who Advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion"  to recognize the role women play as a source of advocacy for expanding possibilities.  March 8th is International Women's Day was established by the United Nations in 1975.

have a majority winner in ONE higher turn-out election in November instead of the eight more
months of campaign spending and the overflowing mail we can expect from 2nd runoff

Our League

The League of Women Voters of Sacramento County (LWVSC), a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.   We serve Sacramento County including the cities of Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Galt, Isleton, Rancho Cordova and Sacramento.
