Household Membership
Additional members of a household that otherwise qualify for League
membership may join at a special half price rate with full membership
benefits including voting.
Associate Membership
Did you know that you don't need to be a citizen or over 18 to join
the League? If you are a non-citizen or under 18 you may still join
the League as an "Associate Member". As an associate member you get
all the great benefits of the League, except the right to vote in League
elections.
Student Membership
Students enrolled in a full-time course of study can qualify for reduced
membership dues and receive all the benefits of League membership including
the righ to vote in League elections.
Supported Membership
If you have limited financial resources, we have assistance available
from our Membership Support Fund. Please contact the League 447-8683
for more information.
Where Do My Dues Go?
The LWV Sacramento County remits part of your dues to the State and
National Leagues to support membership in all levels of League.
In return you get a chance to educate yourself on local, state, and
national issues through information in the Voter, unit meetings, or
committees. That's the great thing about the League -- you choose your
own activity level.
Either you
(1) stay home and read all the great material in the Sacramento
Voter, on our website, or through other State
and National League news
(2) go to the unit meetings once a month
(3) roll up your sleeves and work on a committee study, Voter Services
or one of our many other advocacy and voter education activities.
