City of Folsom Candidate Forum- September 14th

About this event

Folsom voters will have an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking three seats on the City Council when the League of Women Voters of Sacramento County hosts a nonpartisan candidate forum later this month.

The Folsom City Council Candidate Forum will take place Monday, Sept. 14, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. inside the Folsom City Council Chambers, 50 Natoma St. The event is free and open to the public and will feature candidates running in City Council Districts 1, 3 and 5.

In District 1, candidates invited to participate are incumbent Folsom City Councilmember Mike Kozlowski; Paul Kerfeld, who lists his occupation as retired; and Chad Vander Veen, a government proposal manager.

District 3 candidates invited to participate are incumbent Councilwoman Sarah Aquino, who lists her occupation as councilwoman and small businesswoman, and Jagadish “Jag” Nagendra, an engineer and project manager.

In District 5, candidates invited to participate are Justin Hurst, a government advocacy manager, and incumbent Anna Rohrbough.

The forum comes as Folsom voters prepare to decide representation for three of the city’s five council districts in the Nov. 3 election. Folsom elects its council members by district, with voters in each district selecting the representative for their area.
